Tax payment due dates will not change when filing and paying through
Sales Tax Online and
Parish E-File If the due date (the 20th of each month) falls on a Saturday, Sunday, national holiday, or state holiday, the due date becomes the next legal business day. Returns filed after the due date will be assessed additional tax due (forfeited vendors compensation) and interest and penalty, as applicable.
There are no minimum payments or threshold amounts required for this system. Taxpayers who previously filed zero sales using the telephone system, will need to file using
Sales Tax Online,
Parish E-File, or submit a paper return. In addition, taxpayers who use the online filing system, agree to follow all rules and regulations established by the Revenue Division. The division encourages all interested taxpayers to participate.
