Curbside Recycling Guidelines
 |
CURB SIDE RECYCLING
Baton Rouge Residents now have “Single Stream
Recycling” using 64-gallon, wheeled carts provided by the City. The new carts are larger, easier to move round and hold more recyclables. The lid will keep out rain, pets and other pests. With the new “Single Stream” recycling
system, all recyclables are collected together and then mechanically sorted at the Recycling Foundation Materials Recovery Facility (MRF).
If residents have not received their new wheeled recycling cart, they can continue to use their green/red bins until the new cart is delivered.
PUT IT OUT BY THE CURB!
Place garbage, trash and recyclables curbside after 6 p.m. on the day before your collection day,
All collection services start at 5 a.m.,
Leave a 3-foot space between the garbage cart and the recycling cart,
Debris left by construction or tree surgeons is not covered in the residential coverage. Removal is the responsibility of the contractor.
THIS CART IS FOR RECYCLABLE MATERIALS ONLY! DO NOT BAG RECYCLABLES. PLACE THEM LOOSE IN THE CART. BE SURE THE CART LID IS COMPLETELY CLOSED FOR COLLECTION. |
