Current Planning Division


The Current Planning Division provides professional assistance and advice to the public for the development of land throughout East Baton Rouge Parish. This assistance may take the form of answering inquiries as to what various parcels of land are zoned and what land uses are permitted in the different zoning districts, or answering questions from the public concerning the dividing or development of property as it relates to the Unified Development Code and the Comprehensive Plan.

The primary function of this division is to focus on the rezoning and subdivision of land. Administration of subdivision and zoning regulations requires processing applications and presenting the applications at public hearings before the Planning Commission and Metropolitan Council. The Current Planning Division includes the following sections:
