Volunteer of America - (Makara House)
 

Volunteers of America - (Makara House) provides emergency shelter care and residential treatment for ten male/female adolescent youth, ages 11-17. Care is provided 24 hour/7 days a week until the presenting problems are resolved enabling the youth to return to the family or until alternate suitable placement arrangements can be made. Makara House primarily serves youth with severe emotional and/or behavioral disorders or multiple foster care placements. Makara attempts to serve adolescents in an accepting, family-like environment.
