|Under the direction of the Assistant Director of DHDS, performs responsible professional work in analyzing programs and services provided by DHDS. Work involves responsibility for highly complex review of applications for various programs and services assuring compliance with state and federal performance requirements. Work requires the exercise of independent judgment in accordance with funding source requirements. Work also involves compiling statistical information of Social Services program data in order to analyze and devise performance methods to increase efficiency and adapt them to new requirements. Work is reviewed through conferences, written reports, discussions and observation of results obtained. Performs other work as requested.|
|ESSENTIAL WORK TASKS|
|Organizes and maintains programs and services within DHDS to track services provided to the public.
Manages information to ensure accuracy and integrity of records for all DHDS programs and services.
Customizes database to meet federal and state guidelines.
Schedules and provide training and assistance for all DHDS program applications and works closely with DHDS fiscal unit to ensure federal/state funding requirements are met.
Develops and provides training and training manuals for human service database users on continual basis.
Coordinates testing and integration of all human services database enhancements and runs reports to ensure accurate data collection.
Provides technical support for human services database problems; distributes data to various departments to complete required federal/state reports.
Organizes, maintains, and trains DHDS staff on all applications with department wide implications.
Performs routine maintenance to attendance software to ensure the integrity of data.
Coordinates and develops DHDS annual statistical reports for all programs and services using human services databases.
Organizes and allocate funds in human service database for all DHDS programs and makes adjustments to funds as needed to process payments and complete payment transactions.
Organizes codes and link funds to services to ensure that federal/state guidelines for management of program funds are allocated correctly.|
|KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES|
|Knowledge of statistical analysis and the ability to create performance indicators based on the information.
Knowledge of relational database software and experience in data manipulation.
Ability to utilize a computer to interpret and analyze technical and statistical information to prepare oral and written reports.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to analyze complex procedures and systems and develop problem-solving strategies.
Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely, orally and in writing to various groups and the public.
Ability to comprehend and implement local, state and federal guidelines for various DHDS programs and services using automation.
Ability to apply good work habits such as punctuality, reliability, preciseness, and dependability in order to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the department and division.|
|EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE|
|Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or a related field, supplemented by two years of data analysis and compilation experience.|
|Any equivalent combination of education and experience.|
