| General Questions How can I get on a transfer list?
You need to complete a transfer form and an employment application and return them to the
Recruitment & Examination Division. Once you submit these forms, your name will
remain on the transfer list indefinitely, or until you request to have it removed. View the Employee Transfer Form .
How do I file for reemployment?
You have 1 year from the date you left service to complete
a Reemployment Form . You must turn in a completed application with the reemployment
form. Your name will remain on the list for 2 years from the date you left service.
How do I update my application?
Any documentation not submitted with your application must
be received within 30 days of your original application date in order to be reviewed for
re-grading purposes. Additional information may be added to your application as
well. However, if you want to update your score, you may submit a new completed
application after six months from the original application date.
When will I be called for an interview?
If you are considered for a position, the hiring department
will contact you for an interview.
How do I change my address/phone information?
You must complete a Change of Address Form and return it to
the Recruitment & Examination Division.
What is my ranking?
When you receive your initial examination/application
results, you will also receive your relative standing (ranking). You will only
receive this information one time.
Where can I get a copy of all job specifications on the Metronet/Internet?

How do I verify employment?
You must contact Payroll & Benefits Division at

Is my score still active?
Scores for City-Parish employees for
promotional positions are active for 3 years and for 1 year for non-employees.
However, you can call the Recruitment staff at 389-3132 and have your score checked.
Where can I get a copy of my application?
We do not give back copies of
applications. However, if you are a City-Parish employee, you can get a copy of your
application for the position which you currently hold. However we encourage you to make copies of your application before submitting it to the HR Department. |
