Baton Rouge Newest Fire and EMS Station

Ground Breaking Ceremony for Baton Rouge Fire and EMS Station image

On Monday, June 27, 2011 the Baton Rouge Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services conducted the “Ribbon Cutting Grand Opening Ceremony” for our newest Fire and EMS Station. The ceremony took place at 10 a.m. at 3024 Florida Boulevard in Baton Rouge

This new station replaced the original Fire Station #1 and EMS Station #6 which was constructed in 1926 at 1801 Laurel Street. Until completion of this project, the station on Laurel Street was the oldest operating station in the City of Baton Rouge. The building is slightly less than 10,000 square feet in size with four bays to house Fire Department and EMS equipment and personnel.
