Ryan Heck, 34, a Republican won his seat as Metropolitan Council representing District 11 after drawing no opposition in the November 2012 primary election. He officially took office in January 2013. District 11 includes portions of Government Street and the Jefferson Highway corridor to Siegen Lane.

Ryan, a native of Baton Rouge, is a graduate of the LSU College of Engineering with a degree in Construction Management and has earned a Masters of Business Administration from LSU. He is currently a Senior Procurement Specialist at Albemarle Corporation.

Ryan Heck and his wife Loredana are the proud parents of a daughter Isabella and son Roman. They are Parishioners of Our Lady of Mercy Church.
