Here's How To Enter!

  • Email us a photograph of your home composting system, home garden or produce grown with your compost. Include a brief description of your composting photo, your name, and phone number.

  • Send your email with photo to: recyclingcontest@brgov.com. 75 winners will be chosen at random from qualified entries.

Registration Deadline: Friday, March 28th
Rot Hot Kitchen Compost Container
  • 2 gallon capacity,
  • 12L x 8.5H x 8.5D,
  • snap latch tightly securing the lid,
  • easy to clean and dishwasher safe,
  • made from tough polyethylene with maximum recycled content.

A list of the winners will be posted here  on Recycling's website. Winners can pick up their containers at the Recycling Fair Booth on Louisiana Earth Day, downtown Baton Rouge on Sunday, April 27th.

Residents can also visit the East Baton Rouge Parish Recycling Booth at Baton Rouge Earth Day to register for a drawing to win a free compost bin. Residents who want to learn more about composting can visit the Baton Rouge Master Gardener Booth at Earth Day.
