Mayor-President Melvin L. “Kip” Holden and his wife Lois will lead the annual Mayor’s Family Bike Ride on Sunday, April 27th starting on Fourth Street between North Boulevard and Convention Street from 12:30 p.m. The ride is held each year, as part of the Mayor’s Healthy City Initiative. This year’s ride will connect the Bike Day, Sunday in the Park, and Louisiana Earth Day festivities, which will be held along North Boulevard this Sunday. Join us downtown on Sunday!

Registration will be held at the Bike Corral on Fourth Street between North Boulevard and Convention Street. The ride begins on Convention Street and Fourth Street, traveling north on Third Street to the Louisiana State Library to Lafayette Street and returning to the Bike Corral to enjoy the Earth Day festivities along North Boulevard, Town Square and Galvez Plaza.

Bike Day is FREE and we encourage everyone to attend and enjoy this heart-healthy event.
