Council District 12 Map

John Delgado, 38, Republican, was elected as a Metropolitan Councilmember, representing District 12 on December 8th, 2012. He officially took office on January 2, 2013. District 12 includes the Kenilworth, Magnolia Woods, Pollard, Highland Creek, Southdowns and Valley Park neighborhoods.

John is a native of Baton Rouge. He is a graduate of Catholic High School, Louisiana State University and Tulane Law School. Delgado has practiced law in Baton Rouge for 12 years. He is married to local attorney, Stephanie Possa. John and Stephanie have a daughter, Ana Lucia “Lucy” born April 29, 2013.

John Delgado is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association and American Bar Association, and is an elected member of the Louisiana State Bar Association House of Delegates.
