Judge Laura Prosser Davis Background

Laura Prosser Davis was born and raised in Baton Rouge. She received a BS in Psychology and Educational Research from the University of Virginia in 1972 and a M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of Virginia in 1974. She spent ten years teaching and counseling on the high school level before entering LSU Law School. After working as a law clerk in the 19th Judicial District Court, she opened a private practice as a mediator and arbitrator of civil and family disputes in 1993.  She was elected Baton Rouge City Court Judge in 2000.  She has two sons, Amos (23) and Benjy (21).
