The Baton Rouge Film Commission (BRFC) has launched a complete rebranding, including logo and website redesign.
The new website, www.filmbatonrouge.com, is packed with tools for both incoming productions and their staff, as well as Baton Rouge residents. The site is built on a liquid platform, and can easily be viewed across all platforms, including personal computers, iPads, tablets and mobile devices.
The easy-to-navigate site offers our audience specific pages dedicated to putting all the best information at their fingertips without having to dig through pages of content.
Starting with a "Film Makers" page displaying pertinent information such as permitting, production essentials, details about Louisiana's stellar tax incentives and our production guide.
The site also has specific information for local cast and crew to stay informed about casting calls, crew availability and even an opportunity to be listed in the Baton Rouge Production Directory. Area businesses can list themselves within the production guide so their name and services are put directly in front of all incoming productions.
In addition, www.filmbatonrouge.com now has an entire section devoted to getting locals involved in the film industry, with information about film screenings, acting classes, ‘extra’ opportunities, videos of panel experts and much more.
Beyond all of these things, the new website still offers location services both online and with the By Baton Rouge iPhone app. Available in the App Store, the By Baton Rouge app was launched in early 2012 and puts area locations, talent, crew, and businesses in the palm of one's hand.
"Since the inception of this office in 2007, the Baton Rouge Film Commission has brought over 100 productions to the Baton Rouge area. This rebrand was a long time coming and it comes at the perfect time. Mayor Holden and I are focused on securing more local talent and businesses in this growing industry, especially with a slate of outstanding productions taking a serious look at Baton Rouge for the fall." said Liza Kelso of the Film Commission staff.
