What to do if you receive a Notice of Violation. You have three choices when you receive a Notice of Violation.
Pay the $117 Penalty
Pay Online
Logon to www.violationinfo.com
by entering your Notice # and Pin # shown in the red box on the front right of your notice.
Pay by Mail
Mail your check or money order (payable to City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge) in the enclosed envelope with the coupon printed at the bottom of the reverse side of this notice.
Pay by Credit Card
Call toll free 1-866-790-4111 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central Time. There is a convenience fee that will be assessed at the time of payment.
Pay in Person
You may pay in person by appearing at the Baton Rouge City Court building located at:

A $35.00 late fee will be assessed if the penalty is not paid by due date on the Notice of Violation.
Contest the Violation
You must request an Administrative Adjudicative Hearing on or before the “Request Hearing Due Date” listed on the top and bottom right of your notice. There are instructions on the back of your notice that detail the
steps that need to be taken to request a hearing. Detach the coupon located at the bottom of your Notice of Violation, sign the back of the coupon and mail the signed coupon and any supportive documents in the envelope
provided. A hearing will be scheduled and you will be notified in writing of the time and place of your hearing.
Submit an Affidavit Stating You Were Not Driving the Car
If your vehicle was being operated by a person other than the owner at the time of violation, you may transfer liability for the violation to the person who was operating the vehicle at the time and place of the
violation. There are instructions on the back of your notice that detail the liability transfer process. You may submit an Affidavit of Non-Liability to the Violation Process Center before the due date. An Affidavit of
Non-Liability form may be downloaded from www.violationinfo.com.
