Under the SRL program, FEMA provides funds to state and local governments to make offers of assistance to severe repetitive loss property owners for mitigation projects that will reduce future flood losses. The Mayor's Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness is offering the following mitigation project for the Extended 2009 Severe Repetitive Loss Grant:

1.) Acquisition/Demolition of the at-risk structure and conversion of the existing lot to open space

2.) Elevation of the at risk structure

3.) Mitigation reconstruction (only if a traditional elevation is not feasible. Also, this project has a $150,000.00 cap)
