After Action Review Committee

Coordinate and Facilitate the After Action Report Process and the development of a Corrective Action (CA) and Implementation Plan (IP) for all exercises and actual events. .
   Track the progress of CA/IP the corrective actions identified in the plan.
   Refer completed actions to the Training and Drill Planning Committee for incorporation in the exercise program.

Citizen Corps Council

   To develop and coordinate volunteer programs under the Citizen Corps program. The new program includes Community Response Teams (CERT). The council will coordinate recruiting, training, and equipping volunteer teams. The council will also plan for the mobilization of the volunteers.

Emergency Operations Planning Committee

To review the emergency operations plan, maintain and update the plan - ensuring accuracy in addressing all hazards for East Baton Rouge Parish and compliance with the National Response Plan.
   Incorporate planning issues identified in lessons learned, recommend training needs based on plan revisions and additions.
   Distribute and provide education on the Parish Emergency Operations Plan.
   Work with agencies to develop and submit a Continuity of Operations Plan to ensure a continuation of their mission critical functions during a disaster.

Incident Notification System and Report To improve the timeliness, accuracy, and consistency of initial information to the public on incidents.
  To identify any and all areas to upgrade the CAL notification system. Enhance current communication capabilities with the identification of the latest technology that will provide accurate and timely integration for the auto dialer.

Public Information Coordinating Council - Public Awareness

Community Outreach
  To provide the public with information on emergency preparedness and emergency response actions, with an emphasis on All Hazards.
   Conduct training in schools, health care, day care, facilities, medical, and private partnerships, etc.

Project Prepare
   To enhance and strengthen partnerships within the parish with an all hazards focus on creating a disaster resistant community.

Training and Drill Planning Review and implement training needs for parish emergency responders..
BRAMAS – ICS – HEICS – NIMS – River Bend
   Address training issues identified in Corrective Action and Implementation Plans
   Coordinate comprehensive exercise schedules which focus on actual emergency scenarios, such as, river accidents, pipeline emergencies, fixed facility, transportation incidents or a WMD. Emphasis is placed on the coordination between local, state and federal agencies and as well as the public and private sector.
   Work with the After Action Review Committee to conduct an After Action Workshop, development the AAR and CA/IP. Incorporate identified issues into the exercise program.
