Society of Saint Vincent De Paul - Bishop Ott Shelter (Night)

Society of St. Vincent De Paul - (Biship Ott Shelter)

Society of St. Vincent De Paul - (Night), established in 1992, is a shelter for homeless men. Services are geared to motivate homeless men toward independent living on a permanent basis. Funding from the Emergency Shelter Grants Program allows the shelter to provide lodging, three daily meals, shower, personal hygiene items, laundry, health evaluations, prescriptions, clothing, transportation (bus tokens), and counseling. Required counseling is structured to help the homeless find employment, improve educational skills, minimize (with the intent of quitting) substance usage, and obtain other federal assistance. All services rendered by this shelter are free of charge due to its ESGP assistance. Vouchers are administered during the day from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Homeless guests are encouraged to participate in shelter activities and duties throughout their visit.
