Disclaimer:  The East Baton Rouge Parish Animal Control Center has plenty of good animals for adoption.  As animals get adopted, others take their place.  Not all animals entering the shelter are suitable for adoption however.

Breeds and individual animals change everyday – far too quickly to stay absolutely current.  Please be patient and understand that a pet may be reclaimed or adopted, and may not be available before you arrive at the shelter.  It might also have a change in temperament or become sick during its stay at the shelter, thus making it unavailable.

********* NOTE *********

The Animal Control Center has a new digital camera. Please look for updated website pictures of adoptable pets approximately every two weeks. We rely on volunteers to keep our website photos updated. To volunteer, call 774-7700.

The Animal Control Center would gratefully welcome the donation of a good digital camera of the sort that uses 3.5-inch diskettes. If you are buying your family a new digital camera for Christmas, we could make good use of your old one, and the donation is tax-deductible.

Please feel free to phone to inquire about pets currently available for adoption. We always have a wide selection of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in need of good homes.
