The third Saturday of every month between 8
a.m. & 12 noon. at
Louisiana Department of Insurance Office of Receivership at 6945 Florida Boulevard (on
the corner of Florida and Donmoor).
Who
People who live in apartments, small businesses, and others who do not have access to the curbside recycling collection program.
The Sort
All rigid items together: aluminum-beverage
cans, foil, pie pans; cartons-milk cartons, juice boxes, detergent
refills; glass-clear or colored food and drink containers;
plastics-food or drink containers with #1 or #2 inside the triple
arrows; tin or bimetal-food containers, pet food cans; all paper together:
newspaper-including inserts; scrap paper-junk mail, white or colored
paper, envelopes, catalogs and phone books; paperboard-flattened food or
detergent boxes, paper egg cartons, 12 pack drink cartons;
cardboard-folded and flattened corrugated cardboard (no larger than 2' x
3'). Bottles and cans should be rinsed with no food particles. Remove
bottle tops; labels do not need to be removed.
Volunteers at Work
Recycling Foundation personnel and ExxonMobil ExC!TE volunteers operate the community drop-off every month to supplement and enhance the curbside effort.

Come and Help, Inc., the
Baton Rouge Acadiane Lion's Club and the Louisiana School for the Deaf collect medical supplies
and equipment, exercise equipment, eye glasses and hearing aids each month
at the Recycle Rouge Drop-off.
