for bicyclists and pedestrians. The
League of American Bicyclists
recognizes Baton Rouge as a city
that has made notable achievement.
Baton Rouge received a Bronze Designation from the
Bicycle Friendly Community Campaign.
Our Bronze
Designation is just a beginning to
an exciting future.
Walking is the most basic form of transportation. Everyone is a pedestrian. Transit or automobile trips begin and end with a walk. Walking is often the quickest way to accomplish short trips in
urban areas. It is an important form of transportation that should not be overlooked.
For your convenience, we provide the Baton Rouge Bike Map
Bicycle friendly streets have been compiled into a map and rated according to ease of use for the cyclist. This map will be distributed at the Bike Baton Rouge event and
throughout East Baton Rouge Parish.
We hope this information will be useful to Baton Rouge residents and visitors. Please contact the CPPC at (225) 389-3144, if you have any questions.
