City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge
AMERICAN'S WITH DISABILITIES ACT TASK FORCE |

WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE
FOR THE CITY-PARISH ADA ACT TASK FORCE |
|
The City of Baton Rouge, Parish of East Baton Rouge established an ADA Task Force to assist, encourage, and help enable persons with disabilities to participate in the social and economic life of our community. This
task force seeks to correct situations by promoting access to all public facilities, helping disabled persons find productive roles within the community, and dispelling false notions about the nature of disabilities.
The Task Force serves as an agency that promotes inclusion, because we believe that there is a role for everybody. Our primary goal is for our citizens to be able to utilize all public facilities
available within the community. In an effort to accomplish the above, this task force will diligently work to ensure that citizens with disabilities have accessibility and are included in the City’s community life.
The City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge is committed to
make the www.brgov.com website compliant with the American with Disabilities
Act. At this time we recognize that not all areas of our website
may be ADA compliant. However, we are now in the process of redesigning
and creating new website content to be compliant with the W3C
Level One guidelines. |
